I was in Trish hardware the other day to purchase some galvanized bolts, washers, screws, and a drill bit. A store staff member helped me locate to size of the items I was looking for( 1/2"), and also advised me on the size of the drill bit, recommending a larger sized one, at 5/8".
When ever I need something for the house on short notice, I know I can run up there and they will usually have it in stock.
The staff is fairly knowledgeable, they don't always have what you want, but they have what you need. They are pretty good at offering different types of options .
